Hello my name is Jessica. I am a freelance illustrator who graudated from The School of Visual Arts. My BFA in Illustration was recieved in 2009. I am now in school through the Academy of Art University for my MFA in Illustration concentration Comics. I work now creating unique illustrations that tell stories, conceptual ideas and has been used for fine art. I enjoy writing and using my art to bring words to life. My personal goals are to publish my own graphic novel, to own a gallery and to teach at a college. I currently live in Huntsville, AL with my husband Ivan and my black lab Bailey.

I didn't log into DA at all throughout 2013. Honestly I didn't feel the need to. It was a very depressing year for me and I am very glad that it's over. I didn't do much drawing, I moved again, got my husband into rehab for alcohol, went through a masters degree program that I found out lied to me... and left my mangers position at Marshalls, and had to start giving myself injections for my arthritis condition, and my cat died and I lost an apprenticehip. That pretty much sums up the year for me.

Hello everyone,
I first have to apologize I have not been on here much in the past year. I've neglected many of my comments, I haven't commented on my followers work and I have barely submitted any art myself. This wasn't intentional and I have missed being on this website every day that I have not gotten on here.

Hey guys! I know I haven't been on here and posting art the way I should be. I've had a hell of a couple of months where I've been so busy I haven't known what day is what. Seriously.
Monday, October 1st, 2012 Ivan and I got married. We did our handfasting ceremony in the evening up at the golf course where Ivan works as a cook. It was a beautiful little ceremony on the balcony. And, what an interesting day it was. It rained like crazy for 2 days and we thought we were going to have to set the ceremony indoors rather than outdoors. Things are ok. I'm going through a lot right now with work and I'm looking for a different job. The place I'm at right now is taking away from my time with my artwork :/ I'm getting married in 2 weeks so I'm trying to get everything together and planned for that. And, I'm trying to finish a few portfolio pieces and work on getting an agent for my artwork. How about you?
